The Professional Retail Programme, which launches in March 2023, equips People with 9-12 and All graduates with the in-demand abilities they need to excel in the retail careers of buying, planning, and operations management development.
The creative ten-month internship program’s goal is to help people with 9-12 and graduates transition smoothly from higher education into the working world in the retail sector, with the possibility of career growth and advancement if the internship is completed successfully. The dynamic course, created by retailers, aims to create well-rounded traders and merchants by introducing graduates to the fundamental concepts of retail and its value chain. A special cloud-based learning platform, a mix of in-class, independent study, group project work, and six months of practical experience working in certain retail contexts are all used to offer the internship.
Apply before the deadline of midnight on February 28, 2022, if you’re interested in pursuing an interesting career in retail and believe you have the drive, perseverance, and ingenuity to succeed. All Provinces will host the internship beginning in March 2023, and selected candidates must be open to moving. There are only few available spots.
Modules consist of:
- Introduction to the Retail Industry
- The Product and Pipeline for the Retail Business System
- Results and the Merchandising Cycle
- Trade with MerchantsTrade with Retailers
Do you fit the criteria?
Candidates should be:
- South African nationality
- younger than 45 years old
- All BCom graduates and final-year students in business management, statistics and mathematics, entrepreneurship, retail management, and graphic design are eligible to apply for the internship.

- a letter expressing your desire to be considered
- updated Curriculum Vitae with employment and academic history
- Authenticated copies of your passport, high school diploma, and academic transcripts
